RoomViz publishes practical, usable advice written from the perspective of working designers and homeowners who have lived with real rooms — not the marketing language you get from paint brand color stories or furniture retailer catalog copy. We aim for guides you can actually act on this weekend without having to buy anything from us beyond the visualization tool itself. If a tip requires a $4,000 sofa or a contractor on retainer to be useful, it does not belong on our site.
For color specifications, we rely on official paint manufacturer color libraries from Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, Behr, and other major brands — these are the sources of record for hex values, LRV, and product line information. For style descriptions (modern, Scandinavian, farmhouse, mid-century, industrial, and so on), we use published interior-design references and texts. Trend opinions and "what we like" calls come from editorial judgment within the team.
AI assists with first-draft copy for blog posts and gallery descriptions, and AI image-generation models power the visualizations the product produces. Every piece of written content goes through editorial review before publication. That review covers tone, accuracy of color and style descriptions, factual claims about products, and the removal of generic marketing-speak. AI is a drafting tool here, not the final author of record.
Interior design and paint color trends shift each year. We update annual round-up content (for example, "best paint colors of 2026") when the new year's lists are out and the prior year's picks no longer reflect what designers and homeowners are actually choosing. Evergreen guides — how to choose a paint color, how to plan a small bedroom, and so on — are reviewed at least annually and revised when our advice changes.
Our content and visualizations are intended for inspiration and early planning. We are not licensed interior designers, architects, contractors, or color consultants. For significant renovation decisions — structural work, electrical, plumbing, high-cost custom finishes — please consult the appropriate licensed professional in your area. RoomViz is a planning tool, not a substitute for one.
